Two Souvenirs
(Sig Paulson)
Two Souveinirs
Little did I know her, Little did she care.
Took more than she ever gave, of that I’m aware
but when she left me here, she left me two souvenirs,
A heartache and a tear.
I don’t know where I’m Goin’, but I sure know where I’ve been.
Ridn’ all the blue roads, to heaven and back again
since she left me here, with my two souvenirs,
A heartache and a tear.
Well it’s a lonely ride, and there ain’t much inside,
except the tangled web that love can weave.
And now it’s plain to me, that I just could not see,
past the heart, that I wore on my sleeve.
Even though she never told me, I guess it’s odd that I never heard,
this loneliness was comin’, it hits me hard while I’m sittin’ here,
through the years. With my two souvenirs,
A heartache and a tear.
Little did I know her, Little did she care.
Ran that train into the sand, left me in disrepair
She left me here, with my two souvenirs,
A heartache and a tear.
